Job description

OVERVIEW

The Accounts Receivable Administrator reports to the Controller with accountability for providing excellent service for those who have been victims of disaster and for restoring property and lives with a servant's heart. They should embody Jenkins Restorations' core values, including, Can-do Attitude, Excellent Execution, Do the Right Thing, Actions of a Servant, and Responsible Stewardship (C.E.D.A.R).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES for the Accounts Receivable Administrator:
  • Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable
  • Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent account holders to request payment
  • Create reports regarding the status of customer accounts as requested
  • Research into customer discrepancies and past-due amounts
  • Collaborate with the FP&A team to reconcile accounts receivable on a periodic (at least semi-monthly) basis
  • Assists Accounting Manager in reconciling revenue accounts each month
  • Assist Check Processing with Docusign and notes related to the physical checks
  • Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed
  • Maintain and update customer information, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions
  • Relays changes of information to appropriate employees
  • All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
โ€ข Education: Associate, bachelor's degree or equivalent degree with a record of strong academic achievement.
โ€ข Experience: At least two years of related experience. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of relevant Accounts Receivable experience in fast-paced environment.
โ€ข Excellent verbal and written communication skills
โ€ข Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier
โ€ข Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
โ€ข Sage Intacct experience a plus
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
The Accounts Receivable Administrator must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Demonstrate the ability to write routine reports, correspondence, and the ability to speak effectively to customers and/or employees of organization in the English language.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, the Accounts Receivable Administrator should have knowledge of industry related software be able to "touch type" and be familiar with software like Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.); able to communicate via cell phone and appropriate apps.
REASONING ABILITY:
The Accounts Receivable Administrator should possess the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. They should also have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form in the English language.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands/fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
