Accounts Payable Supervisor

Are you an experienced Accounts Payable professional with a passion for leadership and process improvement? Recruitment Partners is working with a unique and complex not-for-profit organization to find an Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead a high-volume AP function.
This role oversees a small team while remaining hands-on in daily AP operations, vendor management, reconciliations, and process oversight. The ideal candidate is a career AP professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and brings strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:
  • Lead and support a team of AP Associates, fostering a positive and collaborative environment
  • Oversee full-cycle, high-volume accounts payable processing
  • Review coding, tax treatment, and invoice accuracy within ERP workflows
  • Manage AP reconciliations, aging reports, and payment scheduling with a big-picture mindset
  • Ensure vendor relationships are maintained and inquiries are resolved efficiently
  • Support month-end close and collaborate with the broader accounting team
  • Identify process improvements and drive efficiency within AP operations
Your strengths include:
  • 5–8 years of progressive accounts payable experience in high-volume environments
  • 2+ years of AP leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong understanding of full-cycle AP, reconciliations, and vendor management
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to problem-solve independently
  • Strong communication skills and a supportive, team-oriented leadership style
