Job Summary:

TechSource is seeking an experienced, full-time Accountant Principal – Special Projects to join our Accounting team. This high-impact role will report to the Controller and will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer and Assistant Controller to manage strategic projects across the accounting and finance functions. You will enhance processes and support organizational scalability. This position is based at our Albuquerque office. A hybrid work schedule may be approved by the Controller, after 2-4 months of training.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement improvements to existing accounting processes and workflows.
  • Support and strengthen accounting structures to ensure compliance and operational integrity.
  • Partner with IT and project controls to implement enhancements to the ERP system, particularly in project accounting and financial reporting.
  • Support indirect rate calculations.
  • Perform high-level accounting tasks.
  • Support other accounting special projects as directed by department leadership, such as strategic requests, cross-functional projects, and compliance projects.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • US citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • 7 or more years of relevant accounting and project management experience.
  • Strong analytical, research, and documentation skills.
  • Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to drive initiatives from concept to execution.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Unanet or similar ERP systems is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA.
  • Budget creation and management experience.

The expected base salary range for this role is $110 – $115,000per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
