Summary of Job Responsibilities

The Accounting Manager will execute and continuously improve corporate accounting operations and support key financial reporting activities. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for someone who thrives in both doing the work and building better ways to do it. This role is hybrid, with office located in Austin.


Key Responsibilities

· Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, reporting and analytics

· Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy across all accounts

· Manage fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules

· Support sales tax filings, annual reports and other compliance obligations

· Own expense reporting, corporate credit cards, and accounts payable; serve as the primary system administrator for related third-party software

· Support annual audits working with external auditors and tax advisors

· Prepare financial schedules and supporting analysis

· Work with internal partners on vendor management

· Identify and implement process and system improvements that increase accuracy, reduce manual intervention, reduce close timeline and enhance reporting

· Build and maintain scalable workflows as we grow

Requirements:

What We're Looking For

· 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in SaaS or tech environments

· Strong understanding of US GAAP; experience with business combinations a plus

· Hands-on experience with cloud-based accounting software; NetSuite preferred

· A process-improvement mindset-you don’t just do the work, you ask how it could be done better and make it happen

· Ability to thrive in a small team where you wear multiple hats and operate with autonomy

· Strong ownership, communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities

· An AI adoption mindset, always looking for ways to leverage new tools to reduce manual work and improve accuracy

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
