Apache Business Services, LLC is growing!

Due to a growing demand for our services, we are looking to hire another local individual who has accounting and bookkeeping experience, preferably with QuickBooks. Individuals will enjoy flexible part-time hours. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently while traveling to local small businesses and also be able to collaborate with others in our Plymouth office.

At Apache Business Services, we provide comprehensive accounting and bookkeeping solutions tailored to local small businesses. Our services include accounts payable and receivable, general ledger coding and bookkeeping, payroll and payroll taxes, quarterly reporting, sales tax filings, income tax preparation, along with other business management tools.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our clients' businesses by performing various accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and assisting with the preparation of financial statements. This position is perfect for an individual looking to grow their career in the accounting field, but is also experienced enough to work independently.


Responsibilities

  • Perform data entry tasks, ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
  • Perform general ledger reconciliation on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Utilize accounting software, including QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online, for various accounting functions.
  • Process payroll and payroll taxes using QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop, ensuring timely and accurate employee compensation. This includes quarterly 941 reports, state and federal unemployment reports, W-2s, and 1099s.
  • Maintain current and organized records of financial documents and reports for easy access and review.
  • This role requires regular on-site work at clients' places of business, within a 25-mile radius of Plymouth, WI, along with working in our Plymouth office


Qualifications

  • Proficient in general ledger reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Proficient in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll preparation, and general ledger management.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online is preferred.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Desktop is required.
  • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all financial records.
  • Strong analytical skills are needed.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide support as needed.
  • Ability to solve problems and work independently is fundamental.
  • Associate Degree in Accounting, Business Management, or related field is preferred
  • A background in finance or accounting is strongly preferred; relevant experience will be highly considered.
