At Family & Children's Center (FCC), every invoice processed, payment issued, and detail managed helps ensure children, families, and individuals throughout our communities receive the care and support they deserve.

We're looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and dependable Part-Time Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team in La Crosse, Wisconsin. If you enjoy working with numbers, take pride in accuracy, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

As our Accounts Payable Specialist, you'll play an essential role in maintaining the financial health of our organization by ensuring vendors, staff, and partners are paid accurately and on time. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Process accounts payable invoices and payments accurately and on schedule
  • Code invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts
  • Prepare and print agency checks, reimbursements, and vendor payments
  • Reconcile monthly credit card statements and vendor accounts
  • Maintain vendor records, including W-9 documentation and tax-exempt information
  • Follow up on outstanding stale-dated checks
  • Assist with grant reporting by compiling invoices and supporting documentation
  • Support purchasing activities for agency departments
  • Maintain office supply inventory and coordinate ordering and distribution
  • Assist with audit preparation, reconciliations, and other accounting projects as needed.

What We're Looking For

You may be a great fit for our Part-Time Accounts Payable Specialist if you have:

  • Experience in accounts payable, accounting, non-profit finance, bookkeeping, customer service, healthcare, insurance, revenue cycle, or a related field

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
