Job description

Position Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our growing team at Green Vine Landscaping in Santa Rosa, CA. This role will support our financial operations by handling daily accounting tasks and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be proficient with accounting software and have experience in payroll processing. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to our company's continued success.


Responsibilities


  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Process and code invoices, expense reports, and check requests
  • Support bi-weekly payroll processing for field crews and office staff including prevailing wages
  • Help maintain compliance with payroll tax requirements
  • Manage employee time tracking and PTO records
  • Prepare bank deposits and assist with account reconciliations
  • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records
  • Assist with job costing for landscaping projects
  • Generate routine financial reports as needed
  • Respond to vendor and employee inquiries
  • Perform general administrative duties as required


Qualifications


  • Associate's degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role
  • Experience with payroll processing systems
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
