Position Overview


This is an outstanding opportunity for a recent accounting or finance graduate who wants to build a career-not simply process transactions. Working alongside experienced accounting and finance professionals, you will gain exposure to corporate accounting, hospitality operations, treasury management, real estate development, construction accounting, and financial reporting. We are looking for someone who is curious, dependable, and eager to learn.  As our company grows, we are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our corporate accounting team.


Responsibilities


Responsibilities will grow over time based on experience and performance, but initially include:

  • Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate coding
  • Assist with weekly payment processing and vendor management
  • Support monthly financial close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Assist with preparation of monthly financial reporting packages
  • Help maintain loan files and organize monthly lender reporting
  • Assist with treasury administration, including cash reporting and banking activities
  • Support construction accounting and project administration for development projects
  • Prepare daily operational reports for company leadership
  • Assist with a variety of accounting, finance, and special projects as the company continues to grow

Requirements


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (or graduating soon)
  • Internship or prior accounting experience is a plus but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Sage Intacct or other accounting software is a plus
