The Supply Chain Cost Manager is responsible for delivering financial insight and analytical support across manufacturing and supply chain operations. This role integrates cost accounting expertise with forward-looking financial planning, forecasting, and strategic analysis to support operational decision-making, cost optimization initiatives, and long-term business objectives. The position leads and develops a team of 2-3 Finance and Accounting professionals and ensures accurate, timely financial reporting while maintaining strong partnerships with operations and supply chain leadership.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Analyze manufacturing, transportation, and overhead costs to identify trends, variances, and cost-optimization opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate product and supply chain costs, including materials, labor, overhead, and freight.
  • Review and approve journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate, complete, and timely month-end financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze cost and operational performance reporting, including KPI dashboards and variance explanations.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting for manufacturing and supply chain operations.
  • Develop financial models and scenario analyses to evaluate sourcing decisions, volume changes, and operational initiatives.
  • Partner with operations, procurement, and supply chain teams to provide financial insight for strategic and pricing decisions.
  • Analyze inventory performance, support inventory planning initiatives, and ensure accurate inventory valuation and controls.
  • Drive process improvements and best practices in cost accounting, forecasting, and supply chain financial reporting.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA designation preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in cost accounting, financial analysis, or related roles, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and financial information.
