Kindred is seeking a versatile and proactive Client Accounting Manager to join our Client Advisory Services team. This position requires regular in-office work. A hybrid schedule may be available and will be determined based on the needs of the role and the firm.

As a Client Accounting Manager, you’ll serve as the primary financial contact for a portfolio of clients, leading monthly financial reviews, mentoring bookkeeping staff, solving accounting challenges, and helping business owners make better financial decisions. You’ll collaborate closely with our tax team to ensure our clients receive proactive, year-round advice rather than once-a-year compliance. The right candidate enjoys helping entrepreneurs solve problems, improve profitability, and make confident financial decisions.


Client Leadership & Advisory:
  • Serve as the primary advisor for an assigned portfolio of unique business clients in industries such as manufacturing. e-commerce, and hospitality.

  • Lead recurring financial review meetings with business owners.

  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships by providing financial oversight, decision support, and training.

  • Assist clients with budgeting and cash flow forecasting while identifying opportunities to improve profitability.

Accounting Oversight & Internal Leadership:
  • Review monthly bookkeeping, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements completed by Accounting Specialists.

  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end close while identifying and investigating unusual trends.

  • Mentor and coach Accounting Specialists.

  • Assist with improving internal workflows.

  • Collaborate with partners on complex client matters.

Technology & Process Improvement:
  • Lead QuickBooks Online implementations and conversions, including data cleanup, configuration, and system optimization.

  • Evaluate client technology stacks, recommend workflow improvements, and implement solutions that improve efficiency and reporting.

  • Develop standardized accounting processes for growing businesses.


Requirements:

Professional/Educational Experience:

  • QuickBooks Online Advanced Certified

  • AA or BS/BA in Accounting or Finance OR

  • 5 years of professional experience in an accounting role

Experience in programs:

  • Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Teams, Excel

  • QuickBooks Online
