Job Description:

The reimbursement director reports directly to the VP of Finance and Revenue Cycle of CoxHealth. The Reimbursement Director prepares internal documentation for preparation of Medicare and Medicaid cost reports. Performs detailed reviews and analysis of 3rd party payer reimbursement, develops impact analysis of 3rd party payer changes. The Reimbursement Director analyzes the pricing structure and makes recommendations for tactical pricing adjustments. This position evaluates and implements a payer contract modeling system, prepares monthly financial statement estimates for valuing the net realizable value of accounts receivable and performs special reimbursement projects as needed. The Reimbursement Director oversee and develop staff supervised by the reimbursement director.

Education:
▪ Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field
▪ Preferred: Master’s Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration
Experience:
▪ Required: At least 5 years’ accounting or leadership experience
Skills:
▪ Must be able to work effectively with staff, public and external agencies.
▪ Must have the ability to take initiative and to exercise good judgment and decision-making
▪ Problem solving
▪ Critical thinking, conflict management, negotiation and Personnel development
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
▪ Preferred: Certified Public Accountant or a related certification
