Staff Accountant

CB Partners is partnering with an innovative and growing technology organization to identify an Entry-Level Staff Accountant. This opportunity is ideal for a recent Accounting graduate or early-career professional looking to build a strong foundation in corporate accounting and financial operations. The Staff Accountant will support core accounting functions, including financial reporting, account reconciliations, month-end close activities, payroll accounting, and accounts payable processes. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a collaborative, fast-paced environment while developing technical accounting expertise.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and assist with the completion of closing activities.
  • Review financial information for accuracy and enter accounting transactions into the general ledger.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other financial records to ensure data integrity.
  • Assist with maintaining fixed asset schedules, tracking asset activity, and recording depreciation.
  • Process and review vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and other payables-related transactions.
  • Participate in payroll accounting activities, including recording payroll expenses and related entries.
  • Monitor financial transactions and research discrepancies, resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for internal reviews, audits, and tax filings.
  • Assist with budget tracking and financial analysis projects as requested by management.
  • Generate reports and provide accounting data to support business decision-making.
  • Maintain organized financial records and ensure documentation complies with company policies.
  • Recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • Recent graduates encouraged to apply; prior internship or accounting-related experience is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and general ledger accounting.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
