The QISG team brings together Engineering, Safety, Quality, Material Procurement, QA/QC, Right-of-Way Acquisition, Scheduling, Environmental Planning, Permitting, Title and Land Management expertise that ensure outstanding results for our clients.


The Accounting Intern will support the Accounting team in day-to-day operations, gaining hands-on experience in financial processes such as general ledger reconciliation, journal entry preparation, and financial reporting. This internship is designed to provide exposure to corporate accounting practices and inter-company procedures while developing professional skills in a collaborative environment.
  • Assist with general ledger and account reconciliations
  • Support the preparation of journal entries and basic financial reports
  • Help with internal documentation and audit preparation
  • Participate in month-end close activities under supervision
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives by documenting workflows and identifying efficiencies
  • Collaborate with other departments and operating units to ensure accurate financial data collection
  • Assist in tracking inter-company transactions and resolving discrepancies
  • Support the development and documentation of accounting policies and procedures
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Completed coursework in financial accounting and managerial accounting
  • Junior or Senior standing in a college accounting program
  • Previous internship or part-time experience in an accounting or finance role
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., JD Edwards, QuickBooks, Excel)
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Eagerness to learn and take initiative
