Torch Technologies, Inc is seeking a Billing Accountant II to support our Accounting Department. This position will require billing experience in a government contract environment, Costpoint experience, and proficiency in Excel. Work location is Torch Corporate Headquarters.
As a Billing Accountant II your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:
  • Billing contracts on a bi-weekly and monthly basis to DoW customers through Wide Area Workflow and a variety of other avenues. This includes analysis of WAWF data to determine billing funding levels and assess success of invoice progressing through the WAWF process.
  • Set up billing formats and project configurations in Costpoint from information obtained in the contract.
  • Identify and resolve revenue issues.
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare monthly journal entries, such as direct cost accruals, GSA Fee accruals, CAF accruals.
  • Reconcile Billing to Revenue.
  • Reconcile Billing to Cost Reports.
  • Monthly review of Accounts Receivable to identify and resolve late payments issues.
  • Monthly review of Unbilled Accounts Receivable.
  • Participate contract close-outs and coordinate de-obligations of funding.

Job Requirements:
  • US Citizenship.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, a related field or equivalent experience.
  • An ideal candidate should have 2-5 years of experience in processing billing for a variety of contract types such as Cost Plus, Fixed Price and Time and Material.
  • Desired candidate will have knowledge of close outs and ULOs.
  • Employee must have good communication skills and be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to coordinate easily with other back-office departments including Program Control and Contracts.
