Summary
Dan Cummins Auto Group is one of the most respected and fastest-growing dealerships in the nation, proudly serving Central Kentucky and beyond with exceptional service, affordable pricing, and a massive inventory of new and used vehicles.
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for performing various accounting and administrative tasks related to the automotive industry. They manage financial transactions, prepare reports, reconcile accounts, and assist with general accounting duties. This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager.
This full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position includes the following comprehensive benefits:

Responsibilities
โ€ข Process daily cash, check, and credit card receipts and reconcile bank deposits.
โ€ข Prepare and process accounts receivable billings and collections.
โ€ข Maintain filing systems for accounting records and documents.
โ€ข Communicate with managers, vendors, and financial institutions to resolve discrepancies.
โ€ข Assist with month-end closing and financial statement preparation.
โ€ข Post vehicle sales, purchases, and wholesale transactions to the general ledger.
โ€ข Perform administrative tasks, including copying, faxing, organizing documents, and managing phone calls.
โ€ข To cross train others to handle Accounting Clerk daily responsibilities.
โ€ข Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
โ€ข Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
โ€ข Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
โ€ข Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
โ€ข Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
โ€ข Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

โ€ข Thorough knowledge of employment related laws and regulations.
โ€ข Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software.
โ€ข Proficient with accounting software.
โ€ข Must have a valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
โ€ข Must pass pre-employment background and drug screenings.
Education & Experience
โ€ข High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
โ€ข A minimum of two (2) years' experience in accounting is required; accounting experience in an automotive dealership is preferred.
