Are you an organized financial professional looking for stability, great perks, and a meaningful mission? The Business Office at Montana Tech is hiring a full-time Accounting Associate IV to join our team in Butte.
Montana Technological University provides a comprehensive benefits package for all eligible positions that includes health, dental and vision insurance, mandatory retirement plan with employer contribution, partial tuition waiver, and a wellness program.

DUTIES:
  • Reconcile all bank deposits to Banner Finance, SABHRS and the State Treasury.
  • Reconcile credit card bank account.
  • Reconcile revolving checking account.
  • Posting Incoming Wire payments
  • Sending out payments state agencies (IUJs)
  • Financial Aid accounting. (Federal drawdowns, monitor cash balances, etc.)
  • Manage and oversee parking decal and parking ticket database.
  • Assist with 1098T processes - formatting, testing and review
  • Prepare quarterly accommodation tax report.
  • Customer Service
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge and experience in professional principles and practices of accounting and departmental procedures.
  • Ability to develop and implement accounting procedures; analyze and interpret accounting information; identify and solve accounting problems; compile, interpret, review and communicate financial transactions to a variety of individuals.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple and complex tasks with the highest degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently with frequent interruptions.
  • High degree of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and Outlook.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to interface with internal and external customers daily
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting or related field.
  • Knowledge of The State of Montana and University System policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Banner Student and/or Banner Finance.
