ACCOUNTING CLERKFull-Time | Non-Exempt Wage: DOE Behind Every Strong Program Is a Strong Financial FoundationAt   Action Inc., every role contributes to strengthening individuals, families, and communities throughout Southwest Montana. Our Accounting team helps make that work possible by ensuring agency resources are managed accurately, responsibly, and with care.


As our Accounting Clerk, you'll work under the direction of the CFO to support the day-to-day financial operations that keep our programs running - from accounts payable and credit-card transactions to deposits, reconciliations, and audit support. If you're detail-oriented, dependable, enjoy working with numbers, and take pride in accurate work, we'd love to have you join our team.


What You'll Do

Support the CFO and Accounting team in maintaining accurate, timely, and well-organized financial operations.

Process accounts payable vouchers and checks accurately and timely.

Enter and reconcile credit-card transactions and statements.

Assist with bank deposits, cash receipts, and entry into the accounting system.

Assist with account reconciliations and help identify and resolve discrepancies.

Support the annual external audit by compiling requested documentation and information.

Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential financial records and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

What You'll Bring

Accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience preferred; basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other computer applications; accounting software experience preferred.

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
