Job description

Description:

About Us

All In One Accounting is a 7-time winner of the 50 Fastest Growing Companies in the Twin Cities and one of the Best Places to Work in the Minneapolis area. Our purpose is simple: to make the lives of entrepreneurial and nonprofit leaders better. We do that by supporting profitable growth, protecting assets, and amplifying impact — bringing financial clarity and strategic leadership to the clients who need it most. We run on EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System), which means clear goals, strong accountability, and a team that executes with intention.

A bit about the role:

We're seeking a Manufacturing Accountant to support a portfolio of small and mid-sized manufacturers — job shops, discrete manufacturers, process manufacturers, and fabricators. Manufacturing accounting is its own world: standard costing, inventory valuation, COGS analysis, and the intersection of operations and finance. You'll work as part of AIOA's delivery team model, bringing the technical foundation and operational curiosity to keep manufacturing clients financially clear and informed — alongside your Controller and CFO.

Now about you...

We hire for hungry, humble, and smart — and here's what that looks like at AIOA. Hungry means you bring initiative to every client, push beyond the task at hand, and look for ways to improve processes without being asked. Humble means you know when to escalate, you take feedback well, and you make your team better by being a reliable, low-ego contributor. Smart — in our world — means people-smart and situationally aware: you read clients well, communicate clearly, and know how to navigate complexity without creating noise. If that sounds like you, you'll thrive here.

Responsibilities & Expectations

Client Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of manufacturing clients, collaborating closely with your Controller and CFO

• Maintain cost accounting structures including standard costs, BOMs, and overhead allocation

• Track and reconcile raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventory

• Conduct monthly inventory reconciliations and support inventory accounts through documented processes

• Prepare and review COGS analysis and gross margin reporting by product line

• Manage accounts receivable and supports collection efforts on outstanding invoices

• Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations

• Make month-end closing entries with proper inventory and cost documentation

• Monitor material cost variances and labor efficiency variances and communicate findings proactively to your Controller and CFO

• Process payroll with manufacturing-specific considerations including shift differentials

• Maintain robust internal controls across client accounts

• Utilize current processes and tools, including code red alerts, to proactively identify and prevent fraud throughout all client accounting processes

• Meet or exceed billable hours goals while maintaining service excellence

Internal Responsibilities

• Complete all internal responsibilities including time tracking, capacity planning, and quarterly initiatives

• Actively participate in All In One Accounting's Brand Ambassador program, representing our mission and values

• Uphold security practices to protect client assets effectively

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or equivalent experience

• Experience in a multi-client or Client Accounting Services (CAS) environment strongly preferred

• 3+ years of accounting experience with meaningful manufacturing industry exposure

• Hands-on experience with cost accounting, inventory valuation, and COGS analysis

• Familiarity with standard costing, BOM structures, and overhead allocation methodologies

• Experience with manufacturing or ERP accounting platforms (QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar)

• Excellence in written and verbal communication

• Proven ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously

• Experience with internal controls and fraud prevention

Why All In One Accounting - The Benefits

All In One Accounting offers a work environment built on flexibility, trust, and genuine investment in our people. With team members across the country, we've built a culture that works regardless of geography — grounded in our five core values of Commitment, Foresight, Relationships, Tenacity, and Teamwork. Salary and Benefits

  • Salary: $65,000 - $75,000
  • Annual Bonus: Up to 10% of salary
  • Comprehensive benefits package including:
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401K
  • Life insurance
  • Long and short-term disability
  • HSA, FSA, and dependent care options
