Senior Accountant (Accounting & Finance)

Job Description

Description:

The Senior Accountant will:

  • Work closely with Finance leadership and various internal departments to support budgeting, audit preparation, vendor payments, and process improvement initiatives.

  • Perform advanced accounting work independently.

  • Perform day-to-day job duties including journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.  

  • Prepare accounting analysis and reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).  

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; Associate degree and equivalent experience considered.  

  • Master’s degree (MBA) (preferred)

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including application of GAAP principles.

  • Informal leadership or mentoring experience (preferred)

  • Experience in healthcare or a related industry (preferred)  

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation (preferred)  

  • Must be proficient in GAAP accounting.  

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.).  

  • Complex computer skills required—Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.).  

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and alongside a team.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.

  • Efficient time management skills.

  • Strong financial analysis skills.

  • Mastery of standard accounting software.

Salary Range:

The salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 annually. The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the position. The final salary determination will be based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate.
