We are on a journey of continuous growth - now looking for our next star - a passionate Accountant/Cost Accountant. This position reports to the Controller and will work in Stuart/Port St Lucie.
About the position
As Accountant/Cost Accountant of the Stuart/Port St Lucie team, you will be involved in a broad range of financial activities, including payroll reporting, journal entry preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, forecasting, cost accounting and financial reporting. This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial records while supporting operational and management decision-making.
Your Main Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and month/quarter/year-end close activities
  • Produce weekly forecasts, monthly financial reports, and annual budgets
  • Cost accounting responsibilities including inventory accounting, bill of materials review, labor and overhead allocation, and cost variance reporting
  • Process payroll reports and serve as HR backup during planned absences
  • Submit required monthly reporting and uploads in AARO
  • Prepare tax-related quarterly and annual reporting for the tax department
  • Manage A/R receipt entries, weekly sales and backlog reporting, and monthly cash forecasts
  • Maintain and update fixed asset record
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Assist with special projects, process improvement and additional duties as assigned

Skills & Requirements
A suitable background would be a solid experience within Accounting and manufacturing as well as the following qualifications and experiences:
  • Bachelor's degree Accounting, Finance, or related field; or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of accounting experience, including reconciliations and month-end close for a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with cost accounting principles and practices within a manufacturing environment, including product costing, inventory controls, and production variance analysis
  • Strong Excel Skills (e.g., pivot tables, v-lookups)
  • Strong Power Point skills including graph creating
  • Experience in manufacturing environment preferred
  • ERP and accounting system experience required
