Job description

We are seeking a Tax Accountant / Preparer for full-time, salaried employment. The ideal candidate will have strong multi-tasking skills, as disruptions will be common. We need someone who is diligent, detail and goal oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have prior bookkeeping and tax preparation experience. Enrolled Agent and/or CPA is a plus, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate, someone who is seeking to grow in the field of accounting and ready to grow with us.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM. Additional hours are mandatory during tax season as well.

Duties include:

-Bookkeeping and accounting, mostly using Quickbooks Desktop and Online platforms

-Tax preparation for various different types of taxpayers (individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, etc)

-Sales tax and payroll preparation

-IRS notice correspondence

-Workpaper preparation

Qualifications include:

-Willing to learn and grow

-Ability to meet strict deadlines

-Detail-oriented

-Technology-savvy

Bachelor’s in Accounting is required. Knowledge of Lacerte Tax software and Excel is a definite plus.
