Job Summary (Sr. Accountant – Manufacturing):
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Oversee cost accounting functions related to production, materials, labor, and overhead.
- Monitor and analyze inventory transactions for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Perform variance analysis to identify trends in production costs, labor efficiency, material usage, and waste.
- Collaborate with plant leadership to provide financial insights and support operational improvements.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure tracking.
- Maintain accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and general ledger activity.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as required.
- Contribute to the improvement of accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and internal controls.
