Job description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepares cash, records deposits and reconciles bank accounts and ATMs daily.
  • Prepares daily operating and cash flow reports.
  • Responsible for month-end journal entries and reconciliations of various general ledger accounts.
  • Performs various statistical analysis based on actual financial data.
  • Responsible for job cost and fixed asset accounting.
  • Ensures compliance with Federal Withholding and Reporting law.
  • Develops and implements Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for financial functions.
  • Provides accounting functions as needed for department.
  • Maintain professionalism at all times when working with and responding to team members and/or guests.
  • Communicate (both written and verbal) with and promote positive team member and guest relations.
  • Promotes outstanding customer relations. Promotes honesty and trust amongst the team.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Accounting degree desirable, though not required.
  • Minimum of 3 years general ledger/accounts payable experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to successfully complete the background check and licensing process, required by the Delaware Lottery during employment.
  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and Depreciation Solutions a plus.
  • Must have strong math skills and the ability to accurately calculate in all units of measure.
  • Attention to detail and high level of energy required
  • Ability to consistently comprehend, retain and execute, written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and effectively communicate with team members and management is mandatory.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the necessary functions of this position.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time without difficulty.
  •          Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on the business needs.
