Overview
A well-established, mission-driven organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to support its day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting. This is a hands-on role ideal for a candidate who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys contributing to meaningful, community-focused work.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support and execute the monthly close process, including journal entries and reconciliations
  • Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring proper classification across programs and grants
  • Prepare financial reports, schedules, and account analyses
  • Assist with budget tracking and variance analysis
  • Support grant accounting, compliance, and reporting requirements
  • Contribute to audit preparation and external audit requests
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insight and reporting support
  • Identify and implement process improvements across accounting workflows

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3-7+ years of accounting experience, with non-profit exposure strongly preferred
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Month-end close
    • Account reconciliations
    • Financial reporting
  • Exposure to grant accounting, fund accounting, or donor-restricted funds preferred
  • Experience with accounting systems (QuickBooks, Intacct, or similar)
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
