Job description

Position Summary

A growing consumer-products company is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join its Boca Raton headquarters. The position may be structured at the Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager level based on the candidate’s experience and ability to take ownership of the accounting function.

This is a hands-on role requiring cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment. The position reports directly to the CEO and supports general accounting, inventory, financial reporting, and operational decision-making across the business.


Responsibilities

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, schedules, and financial reports.
  • Maintain accurate general ledger activity and supporting documentation.
  • Manage cost accounting activities within a manufacturing environment.
  • Review inventory activity, product costs, margins, and related variances.
  • Support accounting for B2B and B2C sales channels.
  • Oversee or support accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and cash activity.
  • Identify accounting discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  • Maintain appropriate accounting procedures and internal controls.
  • Work directly with the CEO and cross-functional leaders on financial and operational matters.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • At least three years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment required.
  • Experience supporting general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, inventory, and financial close.
  • NetSuite experience required.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
  • Ability to work independently in a hands-on, deadline-driven environment.
  • CPA or CPA progress preferred.
  • Experience within medical-device manufacturing is a plus.
  • Experience supporting a health, beauty, wellness, or omnichannel consumer-products business is preferred.
