Job description

Reporting to the Accounting Coordinator, this position prepares financial reports and performs accounting activities to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications: Master's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration with an accounting emphasis. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. One to two years of accounting experience or an internship is preferred.
**Wage is commensurate with education and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis & Reporting
  • Prepare financial and business-related analysis, including department variance and profitability reports.
  • Generate accurate internal and external financial reports as required.
  • Aid in preparing quarterly board reports for various programs.
  • Monitor Aged Accounts Receivables to ensure timely cash flow and payments.

Core Accounting Operations
  • Manage Accounts Receivable: generate invoices, record payments, and utilize various billing systems.
  • Process billing for various funding streams and programs.
  • Reconcile payments, record deposits, and perform other tasks in Blackbaud accounting software.
  • Monitor and maintain customer accounts for tax exemptions and update as necessary.

Compliance & Audit Management
  • Assist Accounting Coordinator and Director of Business Operations with annual audits as required.
  • Prepare documentation for agency, program, and grant-specific audits.
