LHH Recruitment Solutions is supporting a client in Troy, Michigan that is seeking an experienced Interim Controller to join their team on a temporary basis. This engagement is expected to last 8+ months and will play a critical role in overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities while ensuring continued financial stability and operational excellence.
Location: Troy, MI
Schedule: Hybrid | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Duration: Temporary Contract (8+ Months)
Compensation: $58-$77 per hour
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll oversight.
  • Manage and execute the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Analyze financial results and provide recommendations to leadership.
  • Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management initiatives.
  • Assist with audits and collaborate with external auditors as needed.
  • Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insights and strategic guidance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiencies.
  • Support special projects and transition initiatives during the interim engagement.
Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
