About this Role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Business Accountability Specialist to support governance, operational controls, compliance, risk management, and reporting activities for the API Product organization.

This role supports the execution of business controls, application compliance requirements, portfolio governance processes, and operational reporting that enable effective oversight of API Products across the enterprise. The individual will work closely with Product, Engineering, Information Security, Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams to support regulatory readiness, operational discipline, and visibility into key portfolio activities.

This position combines business accountability, process coordination, reporting, and operational support to help ensure compliance and governance requirements are effectively executed across the API Product organization.

In this Role, You Will:
  • Support operational governance activities across the API Product portfolio, including collection, validation, consolidation, and distribution of portfolio metrics, scorecards, dashboards, and management reporting.
  • Coordinate and track Technology Control Issues (TCIs), audit findings, remediation activities, risk exceptions, and control-related commitments to support timely completion and reporting.
  • Support application compliance activities for API Product applications, including monitoring policy requirements, technology lifecycle standards, application inventory updates, and control attestations.
  • Assist with compliance and operational oversight activities for a portfolio of applications, including four Tier 3 (Critical) applications.
  • Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for process improvements, operational efficiencies, and increased consistency in execution.
  • Support multiple cross-functional initiatives by tracking milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and action items.
  • Administer service accounts, shared access controls, distribution lists, and other operational assets supporting the API Product organization.
  • Partner with Engineering, Product Management, Information Security, Risk, Compliance, and Audit teams to support remediation efforts, issue resolution, and compliance activities.
  • Support internal audits, regulatory reviews, self-assessments, and control testing activities through evidence collection, documentation, status tracking, and coordination of responses.
  • Analyze operational and compliance data to identify trends, process gaps, and reporting needs, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain operational procedures, compliance documentation, reporting artifacts, and governance records.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting to management to support portfolio oversight, operational decision-making, and compliance activities.
Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in business controls, business operations, compliance, risk management, governance, audit coordination, technology operations, project coordination, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, track deliverables, coordinate stakeholders, and support successful execution of initiatives.
  • Experience in process management and adherence, including documenting procedures, monitoring compliance with established processes, and supporting governance requirements.
  • Experience identifying process improvement opportunities and supporting implementation of operational efficiencies and standardized practices.
  • Experience developing metrics, reports, dashboards, and management communications.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across Product, Engineering, Risk, Compliance, Information Security, and Audit organizations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of API technologies, API lifecycle management, and API gateway concepts.
  • Foundational understanding of application security principles, including authentication, authorization, vulnerability management, and secure software development practices.
  • Experience supporting technology products, software engineering organizations, or API platforms.
  • Familiarity with Technology Control Issues (TCIs), operational risk management practices, audit processes, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Experience supporting application inventory management, technology lifecycle compliance, vulnerability remediation tracking, or governance-related activities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, and reporting tools.
  • Experience creating management reporting, operational metrics, and performance dashboards.
  • Experience working within a large financial services or other highly regulated environment.

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$77,000.00 - $145,000.00
