A well-established mid-sized company in the Des Moines area is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its accounting team on a contract basis. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys managing customer accounts, resolving payment issues, and supporting cash flow through timely collections and accurate account maintenance.


Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Process customer payments, apply cash receipts, reconcile accounts, and maintain accurate AR records.
  • Experience with ERP/accounting software and Microsoft Excel for reporting, account analysis, and data management.
  • Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes; collections experience is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


2+ years of accounts receivable, billing, or related accounting experience.

Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently while collaborating with accounting and operations teams.
