Overview

We are seeking an Account Manager, Social Media to join our Media+Influence team. This role will lead day-to-day social media strategy, planning, content development (concept ideation & copy), and community management for clients.

The candidate will maintain best-in-class and leading-edge knowledge of social media strategy, tactics, trends and platform developments. They will act as an ambassador across the agency for social media initiatives and help grow accounts and contribute to new business efforts.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of social media strategy as well as day-to-day implementation and management of social media channels for Allison clients, including organic and paid tactics.
  • Source content inspiration and ideas based on marketing needs.
  • Come up with creative concepts, post ideas and video scripts based on annual strategy, objectives, and in alignment with messaging/tone guidelines and compliance requirements.
  • Write creative briefs for our internal creative team or external creators to execute.
  • Write and edit post copy aligned with overall strategy and business objectives.
  • Perform community management for client social media channels, including looking for proactive opportunities to engage with target audiences as well as resolving questions, comments and concerns in collaboration with internal team members and clients.
  • Manage paid social boosting to amplify organic content.
  • Measure the success of social media initiatives and provide recommendations for adjustments.
  • Maintain regular client contact, both verbal and written to develop a trusted relationship; serves as a strategic partner to clients and internal teams.
  • Manage time and projects well with little supervision, meeting all deadlines and budget parameters.
  • Appropriately delegate assignments to reporting team members; provides ongoing counsel to junior staff on improving key skills.
  • Work with account teams to develop big picture skills vis‑to‑s strategic planning, client development, etc.
  • Actively pursue learning and professional development opportunities.
  • Write and/or edit materials (strategy, social content, social audits) with keen eye

Qualifications
  • Account Managers at Allison typically have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in social media at a brand or agency.
  • In-depth working knowledge of major social media platforms and the ability to articulate clearly the value proposition of each
  • Past experience managing paid social campaigns, including boosting organic content
  • Willingness to learn and successfully advocate for clients across a range of industries
  • Team-oriented, with an innate ability to understand needs and objectives and manage to expectations and turnaround times
  • Exemplary follow-through and execution skills
  • Self‑motivated, eager to learn and enthusiastic about the work
  • Strong writing and presentation skills and attention to detail
  • Proven track record in supporting organic client account growth and new business development
  • Prior management of direct reports is a plus
  • Experience in social media marketing for consumer electronics, sports, public health, or tobacco prevention is a plus

Compensation

In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation in all locations within the United States for this role is $80K- $125K. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
