Job description

Account Manager - IT Staffing

Houston, TX (on-site) · Full-time · Mid-Senior Level

Pantheon is looking for an Account Manager to join our Houston team, embedded with a flagship enterprise client. You'll split your time between managing the day-to-day delivery of open IT requisitions and building genuine relationships with the client managers who rely on us, with a Senior Account Manager in your corner guiding you every step of the way. This is the right role if you've spent a couple of years in IT staffing and are ready to move from execution into a more strategic, client-facing position - with real mentorship and a clear path forward.

What you'll do?

  • Manage a steady flow of IT requisitions - tracking status, closing feedback loops, and making sure Pantheon's submittals are timely and well-matched
  • Build trust, consistent relationships with hiring managers and team leads at the client site, becoming a familiar face they reach out to proactively.
  • Listen for signals where Pantheon can offer broader support (IT consulting, managed services or other offerings) and surface those opportunities to the senior team
  • Contribute to quarterly business reviews with on-the-ground client insights you've gathered
  • Serve as the primary local point of contact, ensuring the client always feels well-supported and is responded to quickly.

What we''''re looking for?

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in IT staffing, recruiting, or IT services delivery - you understand the requisition cycle and have worked with client contacts before
  • Comfortable navigating enterprise client environments; familiarity with VMS platforms like Fieldglass or Beeline is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of IT roles and basic technical concepts (SAP, cloud, software development) - enough to have credible conversations with hiring managers
  • Strong follow-through and relationship instincts - you keep things moving without being pushy, and clients remember you positively
  • Based in Houston and available for regular on-site presence with the client.

How we'll invest in you?

  • You'll work directly alongside a Senior Account Manager day-to-day, not just occasional check-ins, but active collaboration and real-time coaching
  • Regular structured feedback and clear milestones so you always know where you stand and what comes next
  • Visibility into the full account strategy, QBRs, expansion planning, leadership conversations; so you''''re developing senior-level instincts, not just executing tasks.
  • A defined path to grow in the role and with the company as your client relationships and business development skills grow.

Compensation & Benefits: Base salary (depending on experience), Uncapped commission, Health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
