Job description

What Finance Operations contributes to Cardinal Health Finance oversees the accounting, tax, financial plans and policies of the organization, establishes and maintains fiscal controls, prepares and interprets financial reports, oversees financial systems and safeguards the organization's assets. Finance Operations is responsible for the oversight and overall performance of the following core financial processes. This includes pricing administration, rebates, cash application, chargebacks, billing, accounts payable and employee travel & expense.

Responsibilities Manage end-to-end supplier billing processes (including DSA, NLC, and deal-related billings) to manufacturers, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness Maintain a strong internal control environment by overseeing Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and partnering with internal and external audit teams Oversee collections and dispute resolution processes, including monitoring and analyzing manufacturer receivable balances and aging Perform reconciliations of billing-related accrual accounts and proactively resolve discrepancies with manufacturers Support financial close activities, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes, to ensure accurate reporting Evaluate the supplier billing and rebate environment to identify risks and opportunities, providing insights to support forecasting and financial planning Interpret supplier contract terms and translate them into effective financial and operational processes Collaborate cross-functionally with Tax, Internal Audit, Legal, Accounting, Sourcing, and FP&A on initiatives impacting supplier billing operations Serve as a trusted finance partner to the Sourcing team by validating billings against contractual terms, pricing structures, and volume thresholds Investigate billing discrepancies and drive resolution through coordination with internal stakeholders and external partners Assess system-based billing programs to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for optimization Review, approve, and process billing payments, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to policies Lead, develop, and manage a finance operations team supporting brand and consumer health product lines Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement Qualifications 6-10 years of experience preferred Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, or equivalent work experience preferred Location If local to Dublin, OH, candidate will be required to come into the Dublin, OH office 1-2 days per week with remote work the other days.
