Job Title: Customer Account RepresentativeJob Description
The Customer Account Representative manages assigned customer accounts and serves as the primary point of contact for all customer inquiries. This role processes purchase and sales orders, performs contract reviews, and provides timely updates on production schedules, shipments, and deliveries. The position requires close collaboration with production, planning, and other internal teams to obtain information and resolve customer concerns, while maintaining accurate account documentation in ERP systems and supporting key customer service metrics.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts and respond promptly to inquiries via email, phone, and virtual meetings.
  • Process purchase orders and sales orders accurately, including contract reviews and order updates, ensuring all information is complete and correct.
  • Provide customers with clear and timely status updates regarding production schedules, shipments, and deliveries.
  • Collaborate with production, planning, and other internal teams to obtain necessary information and resolve customer issues and concerns.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date account documentation and customer records within ERP systems.
  • Generate reports and support tracking of key customer service and account management metrics.
  • Resolve customer issues with a high level of professionalism, ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Manage a high-volume workload while multitasking across multiple customer accounts and priorities.
  • Support ownership and stewardship of assigned customer accounts, including ongoing order management and follow-up.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on customer needs and order status.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in customer service, customer account management, inside sales, order management, or sales support.
  • Hands-on experience processing purchase orders and/or sales orders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with customers and internal teams.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to use sort and filter functions; experience with pivot tables and VLOOKUP is preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and manage a high-volume workload while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in handling customer data, orders, and documentation.
  • Comfort working onsite in a manufacturing environment and collaborating with production-related teams.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience using ERP or MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
  • Background in aerospace, manufacturing, industrial, or supply chain customer service environments.
  • Experience managing an order book or designated set of customer accounts.
  • Proficiency with administrative support tasks, order entry, and sales support activities.
  • Familiarity with general ERP workflows and data entry best practices.
Work Environment
This role is based in a cubicle office environment within a manufacturing facility. The standard schedule follows a 4-day work week (4/10s), typically from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30-5:00 p.m., with a 30-minute to 1-hour lunch break. Overtime opportunities are available on Fridays, and work-from-home is possible on Fridays since the office is closed that day. The team environment is warm and collaborative, with a strong sense of teamwork and support. Pay and Benefits
