Job description

Great brands don't just happen; they're discovered, nurtured, and shared. We're hiring a 3P Apparel & Accessories Buyer to architect the next chapter of our 3rd-party portfolio. This isn't just about managing spreadsheets; it's about building long-term partnerships with the labels that define the Huckberry aesthetic. Reporting to the Merchandise Manager - 3P Brands, you'll drive the strategy, the selection, and the success of the apparel and accessories that equip our community for everything from the commute to the coast.
This role is based out of our headquarters in Austin, TX; relocation support will be provided to a remote hire.
Responsibilities
  • Buy 3rd party apparel brands and wearable accessories for Huckberry's owned channels (Ecommerce and Retail)
  • Own apparel brand relationships across the 3P portfolio, building long-term partnerships and negotiating terms
  • Execute brand-level preseason planning and budgets, including assortment strategy, brand scorecards, and OTB management
  • Drive Item Level Quantification for all 3P apparel and accessories buys
  • Partner with Merch Manager and the broader 3P team to ensure coordinated multi-department brand strategies
  • Manage in-season GTM execution for Ecommerce and Retail, partnering with the Ecomm/Marketing team on launch and slotting
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for brand collaborations, SMUs, and exclusive product development within apparel and accessories
  • Track and report on brand and category performance, surfacing insights to drive in-season adjustments
  • Attend market and key brand meetings; maintain active relationships with top 3P apparel partners
  • Support the broader 3P team with buying tasks and seasonal execution as needed
  • Teach, coach, and motivate Assistant Buyer to drive in-season performance management and become exceptional pickers of product, editors of assortments, and business managers

Requirements
  • 3-5 years of buying or merchandising experience; apparel or accessories buying experience strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to build and manage vendor/brand relationships
  • Experience with preseason planning, OTB management, and assortment strategy
  • Strong analytical skills; comfortable with business reviews, sell-through analysis, and quantification
  • Proficient in Excel and key formulas
  • Collaborative and communicative team player who can work closely with Planning, Ecommerce, and Marketing
  • Genuine enthusiasm for the 3P brand space - knows the apparel and accessories landscape and has a point of view on what belongs at Huckberry
  • Passion for the outdoors, adventure, and the Huckberry lifestyle brand
