| WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Slate is seeking an energetic, organized, and experienced Sr. Accessory Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to join our growing team. This SQE will own all aspects of supplier quality and performance for EV-specific vehicle accessories, working closely with suppliers of low-voltage electrical systems, exterior add-ons, smart tech features, ruggedized mounts, and utility gear. You'll ensure our accessories meet the highest standards of safety, durability, and integration with our electric platforms - on budget and on time.

| WHAT YOU GET TO DO

In this position the candidate will be responsible for performing domestic and international supplier audits, administer the APQP process, hold supplier(s) accountable to our Quality Requirements Manual, develop implement supplier partner KPI/scorecard and implement actions to improve hold suppliers accountable to perform. The SQE will also be pivotal in evaluating suppliers for production awards, all aspects of supplier quality performance, developing strong supplier relationships, and working with all internal stakeholders to support the company's overall objectives and core values.

| WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

  • 7+ years of direct Supplier Quality Engineering or Development experience, or 5+ years at a start-up preferably with automotive accessories for EVs, including audits, APQP, PPAP, lean principles, and continuous improvement.

  • Four-year degree or higher in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Materials Science, or Supply Chain Management.

  • Hands-on experience with low-voltage systems, exterior accessory integration, and smart tech features is a strong plus.

  • Strong working knowledge of supplier KPIs, scorecard development, and holding suppliers accountable for quality and delivery.

  • Familiarity with automotive safety and electrical integration standards, especially as they relate to EV accessory systems.

  • Ability to interpret and review technical drawings and GD&T standards for accessory fitment and installation.

  • Experience working with ERP systems to track supplier performance and part traceability.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.

  • High level of integrity and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.

Salary Range: The compensation for this position is the range Slate reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; work location; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

Base Pay Range (Annual)

$96,000 - 120,000USD

Additional Compensation and Benefits: Slate offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in the equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
