Job description

Summary

The Accessibility Accommodations coordinator is responsible for coordinating the delivery of services for students registered with the Office of Accessibility Services (OAS), ensuring that all their approved accommodations are met. The Coordinator collaborates with the Federal Work Studies assigned to the Office in the delivery and proctoring of all accommodated tests and quizzes. The Coordinator is also in charge of assisting the Director in the day-to-day operations of the Office.

Essential Functions
  • Coordinates the processing, scheduling, proctoring, and delivering of accommodated tests for students registered with the Office of Accessibility Services, in collaboration with the Director and any Federal Work Studies assigned to the Office.

  • Supports the Director in processing new student requests; sets up intake appointments; and maintains and updates individual confidential student records consisting of medical, psychological, and educational documents related to students' specific disabilities and accommodation requirements.

  • Assists the Director in monitoring the delivery of accommodations for students registered with the Office of Accessibility Services, including but not limited to creating Accommodation Memorandums for Faculty and Housing and procuring note-taking solutions, assistive technology (AT) solutions, and American Sign Language Interpreters.

  • Responsible for managing the Office of Accessibility Services in the absence of the Director.

Requirements/Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in any field required.

  • 1-3 years of related experience.

  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to collect and analyze information, problem-solve, and make decisions.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Must have front desk experience and excellent customer service and telephone etiquette.
