Job description

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2304
$500 CONTRACT COMPLETION BONUS
Opportunity:
RN - ER
Job Details:
โ€ข Night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
โ€ข Every other weekend rotation required
โ€ข 1 holiday expectation per contract
โ€ข No on-call responsibilities
โ€ข Patient ratios of 1:3-4 for both day and night shifts
โ€ข Average patient volume of 100-160 patients per day
โ€ข Treat patients ranging from neonates to geriatric, with 5-8% pediatric population
โ€ข Patient types include chest pain, dizziness, syncope, strokes, sepsis, orthopedic, respiratory distress/failure, STEMI, and behavioral health medical clearance
โ€ข Minimum 2-5 years nursing experience required with at least 1 year of ED experience within the past year
โ€ข Strong IV skills required
โ€ข Must be proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation and monitoring
โ€ข Must be knowledgeable in STEMI, CVA, and sepsis treatments
โ€ข Foley placement and management skills required
โ€ข NGT placement and management skills required
โ€ข Medication titration experience required
โ€ข EPIC EMR experience required within the last 2 years
โ€ข IV pumps: Alaris
โ€ข Medication dispensing: Pyxis
โ€ข Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS; TNCC preferred
โ€ข Scrub color: Any color, professional (no camouflage, denim, or hoodies)
โ€ข Travelers may float based on facility needs and will float first; floating includes working as helping hands, taskers, sitters, or runners without a patient assignment
โ€ข Free parking available in the East parking structure on the 3rd floor or higher

This medical center is a Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center with 277 hospital beds, providing comprehensive emergency care services. The emergency department features 20 beds with 8 overflow beds and 4 CA chairs, supported by a 24/7 team including hospitalists, physician assistants, respiratory therapists, and receptionist/HUC staff. The facility offers robust support resources including a charge nurse, ED educator, flow nurse during peak hours, and telemetry monitoring available both at bedside and at the nurses station.
