As a Front Lobby Security Officer, you will serve as the first point of contact for individuals entering a secure client location. The primary responsibilities of this position include verifying identification, controlling access, monitoring lobby activity, and ensuring all visitors follow established entry procedures.

This role requires professionalism, confidence, attention to detail, and the ability to provide excellent customer service while consistently enforcing client policies.

Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Greet individuals entering the facility in a professional and courteous manner
  • Check government-issued identification and verify that individuals meet established entry requirements
  • Control access to the facility and ensure only authorized individuals are permitted to enter
  • Identify expired, altered, or potentially invalid forms of identification and follow established procedures
  • Maintain a visible and professional security presence in the front lobby
  • Monitor lobby activity and remain alert for suspicious behavior, safety concerns, or policy violations
  • Manage visitor check-in procedures and maintain accurate logs when required
  • Communicate access concerns promptly to management or designated client representatives
  • De-escalate challenging interactions calmly and professionally
  • Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and requests for assistance
  • Complete incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation accurately and promptly
  • Follow DSI policies, client requirements, and post-specific instructions
  • Participate in required training and comply with DSI safety procedures and manuals
Qualifications amp; Requirements
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous security, access control, retail, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to carefully examine identification
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm, courteous, and firm when enforcing access requirements
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
  • Reliable transportation and means of communication
  • Must meet all preemployment requirements
