Security Systems Technician

Location: Phoenix, AZ
Compensation: $58,000 - $72,000 annually (DOE)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Security Systems Technician to support the installation, service, programming, and maintenance of commercial security systems. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician with strong low-voltage experience, troubleshooting abilities, and a customer-focused mindset.

The technician will work with a variety of commercial systems including access control, CCTV/video surveillance, intrusion alarms, and fire alarm systems. Experience with Eagle Eye Networks, Brivo, and DMP platforms is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, program, service, and maintain commercial security systems

  • Configure and troubleshoot CCTV/video surveillance systems, including Eagle Eye Networks platforms

  • Install and support Brivo access control systems

  • Install, program, and service DMP intrusion alarm systems

  • Troubleshoot low-voltage systems including access control, CCTV, intrusion alarms, and fire alarms

  • Pull, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling

  • Program customer security devices, user credentials, access levels, and databases

  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics

  • Perform system testing and verify proper operation

  • Maintain accurate service records, documentation, and project notes

  • Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and internal teams

  • Follow all safety procedures and industry best practices

Qualifications
  • Experience with commercial security systems, low-voltage cabling, or related electrical work preferred

  • Hands-on experience with Eagle Eye Networks, Brivo, and DMP systems strongly preferred

  • Knowledge of access control, IP camera systems, alarm systems, and structured cabling

  • Experience programming and managing security platforms preferred

  • NICET certification is a plus, but not required

  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
