AMR All-transit- Arverne is offering a unique opportunity for individuals interested in a career in Access-A-Ride!

About the Program:

The eligible candidate will be hired as an employee and compensated while in attendance of our CDL prep course. The Academy is a 3-day course to provide the necessary information and training to qualify the employee to take the NYS CDL test. Upon successful completion of the class and passing the exam, the employee will begin their new hire orientation and complete a road test. Once the road test is completed, the employee will be assigned their full-time shifts. 

We’re hiring Access-A-Ride Drivers that will respond to requests for transportation needs and deliver high-quality care, treatment and customer service to patients. Great service begins with great people and real experience which is why we put so much into choosing the best people to join our team.

Currently afternoon shifts 1pm- 11pm 7 days a week for full time. MUST WORK WEEKENDS!!!

Benefits:

  • Higher rate of pay upon graduation for new hire CDL Drivers for $23.11 per hour!
  • Preference for Commercial Driver's License (CDL) class CP drivers and training available to help obtain

Responsibilities:

  • Transport disabled passengers to and from their locations
  • Provide door to door service for passengers
  • Special care and sensitivity needed for each passenger

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Valid NYC State Driver’s License
  • Driving record in compliance with company policy
  • Must be at least 21
