Job Summary:
Accenture Federal Services is dedicated to helping the US federal government enhance national security and improve the lives of citizens. They are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain complex software systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams and ensuring high-quality code standards.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality code standards.
• Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Ensure software is updated with the latest features and security patches.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for new and existing systems.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 14 years as a Software Engineer in similar programs and contracts utilizing programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineer, or a related field; 4 years of relevant experience can substitute for a Bachelor’s degree
• Must have a TS/SCI with polygraph
Preferred:
• Strong knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C++, JavaScript)
• Experience with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins, etc.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as Hadoop, ElasticSearch and MongoDB
• Experience with Big Data technologies, such as MapReduce
