About This Role

Calvary Chapel Christian Academy is seeking a spiritually mature and experienced educational leader to serve as Academy Principal.

The Academy Principal serves as the senior instructional and operational leader of the school and works closely with the Head of School to lead daily operations. This position provides oversight for both the K-5 Academy and the Developmental Center.

The successful candidate will lead staff, strengthen instruction, support student culture, maintain operational systems, and help ensure compliance with school and childcare requirements while actively supporting the Christ-centered mission of Calvary Chapel Christian Academy.


What You'll Do
  • Lead the instructional program for the K-5 Academy
  • Supervise, coach, support, and evaluate teachers and staff
  • Monitor classroom performance, student achievement, and assessment data
  • Lead academic improvement and professional development efforts
  • Provide leadership and oversight for the Developmental Center
  • Monitor staffing schedules, classroom ratios, health and safety practices, and licensing requirements
  • Address employee performance, attendance, and conduct concerns
  • Maintain accurate and confidential personnel and student records
  • Oversee schoolwide discipline, culture, behavior systems, and restorative practices
  • Lead the daily organization and operation of the Academy
  • Oversee the front office, school security, cafeteria, and before- and after-care operations
  • Prepare for inspections, audits, licensing visits, and regulatory reviews
  • Develop and uphold school policies, procedures, schedules, and operating practices
  • Collaborate with the Head of School, Business Operations, church leadership, and school departments
  • Support a safe, orderly, professional, and Christ-centered campus
  • Lead prayer or staff devotions as assigned

Requirements
  • Personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
  • Willingness to actively support the Christian mission and biblical values of the Academy
  • Bachelor's degree in education, educational leadership, business administration, human resources, or a related field
  • At least five years of leadership experience
  • Experience working in a K-12 school, early childhood center, childcare program, or comparable educational environment
  • Experience supervising, coaching, and evaluating employees
  • Working knowledge of curriculum, classroom instruction, assessment, and student achievement
  • Ability to address employee performance and conduct concerns fairly and consistently
  • Strong organizational, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, records, deadlines, and operational responsibilities
  • High level of discretion, confidentiality, integrity, and professional judgment
  • Knowledge of childcare ratios, health and safety practices, inspections, and regulatory expectations
  • Proficiency with office technology and school or childcare management systems
  • Ability to work on-site and actively supervise students and staff
  • Ability to successfully complete all required background checks and employment clearances
