Job description

Job Profile Summary
Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for planning, organizing, and developing curriculum support initiatives in designated subject areas and provide support for department and college initiatives. Work requires the use of technology, initiative, and resourcefulness in making decisions within widely accepted standards. Performs related work as directed.
This position allows eligible veterans and their spouses to claim Veterans' Preference pursuant
to Florida Statute 295. Certain servicemembers may be eligible to receive waivers for
postsecondary educational requirements, in the employment by the state and its political
subdivisions and are encouraged to apply for the positions being filled.

Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree required.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Minimum Experience/Training:
Four years of relevant experience.
Experience in data analysis and reports preparation
Experience required is within field or closely related field.
Essential Functions:
Daily - 20%: Participates and assists in department planning, develops and organizes curriculum support materials, programs, and activities in the designated subject area(s) and coordinates with the Academic Resources leadership to assess the effectiveness of tutoring support and other departmental initiatives to ensure academic integrity.
Daily - 15%: Assist with recruiting, interviewing, training, scheduling, supervising and evaluating part-time lab staff to provide quality tutoring and academic support services to students.
Daily - 10%: Coordinates with subject-specific faculty on developing competency based lab initiatives for increased student success.
Daily - 20%: Assigns part-time tutors to specific department initiatives and to assist students with learning and core curriculum requirements to maximize student success.
Weekly - 5%: Provides direct tutoring to assist students with learning and core curriculum requirements to maximize student success.
Daily - 15%: Responsible for extracting, documenting, and maintaining statistical records of lab initiatives, activities, and student participation. Prepares reports, graphical summaries, and presentations and provides interpretations to analyze student success.
Monthly - 10%: Works closely with faculty each term to schedule and conduct classroom visits and orientations on lab resources, lab requirements, and related initiatives in support of students' established curriculums. Additionally, promotes academic support services during college events as needed.
Monthly - 5%: Performs other related duties as assigned.

Ability to contribute in multiple related areas within the function
Expertise in understanding and following project plans, including the coordination of multiple resources and activities
Understanding of and ability to coordinate interdependencies of work within the area and of resources from outside the area
Ability to exchange information with individuals and collaborate with colleagues within the College as well as presentation skills
Requires advanced knowledge of computerized systems and operating environments i.e. Microsoft Office Products and specialized computer systems spec
Ability to interact and effectively communicate with employee and student populations
