Job description

Job Summary
The Student Office Assistant assists with various clerical duties within Academic & Curriculum Support (ACS) as needed.
Job Description
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
  • Assist with reviewing academic publications and documents for accuracy, consistency, formatting, and adherence to established standards.
  • Identify typographical errors, outdated information, and inconsistencies in curriculum-related materials.
  • Organize, sort, and maintain data in Microsoft Excel and other electronic records systems.
  • Compile and consolidate information from multiple sources into reports and spreadsheets for review and analysis by the ACS Director.
  • Review meeting agendas, minutes, and supporting materials for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Support special projects and perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Additional Job Description
Required Qualifications:
  • Must be enrolled as a degree-seeking student at Florida Gulf Coast University at the time of hire and throughout the appointment.
  • Experience operating a computer and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

  • Ability to accurately prepare and maintain records, files, and reports.
  • Ability to exercise good judgement.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
