Jumoke Academy TED (Thelma Ellis Dickerson) Elementary Campus is in need of a full-time one-to-one academic assistant to provide academic support to a scholar in the school setting.
Position: FULL-TIME ACADEMIC ASSISTANT
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience working with children
  • or 2 year Associate's Degree; high school diploma required
  • Some computer skills preferred
  • Must be reliable with attendance and have great personality with children

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Academic Assistant performs varied instructional, academic and behavior intervention, and supervisory tasks in regards to a assisting the scholars in the classroom as required by the school. The academic assistant may be required to assist scholars with specific basic needs.
REPORTS TO:
The academic assistant works under the immediate direction and supervision of the assigned teacher. The academic assistant is evaluated by and ultimately reports to the dean of academics.
This is a full-time 10-month position with benefits.
