You'll provide leadership and technical support to plumbers and apprentices, monitor service quality and productivity, help resolve complex field issues, and ensure customers consistently receive professional, high-quality service.You'll work closely with company leadership, dispatch, and field employees to improve department efficiency, strengthen communication, support revenue and profitability goals, and make sure the team has the tools, training, and direction needed to succeed.This role requires a balance of field knowledge, leadership, accountability, and business awareness. You'll be expected to identify opportunities for improvement and take an active role in developing both the department and the people within it.What You'll DoLead, coach, and support residential and commercial plumbing technicians and apprenticesOversee daily plumbing operations, workload, scheduling coordination, and field performanceSet clear expectations for workmanship, productivity, customer service, and professionalismMonitor department performance and address operational or performance concernsReview jobs for quality, efficiency, completeness, and customer satisfactionProvide technical assistance on complex plumbing diagnostics, repairs, and installationsHelp technicians identify appropriate repair and replacement solutions for customersConduct regular one-on-one coaching, performance discussions, and team meetingsIdentify training needs and coordinate technical and professional developmentAssist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and developing plumbing employeesEnsure technicians follow company procedures, safety requirements, and applicable plumbing codesWork with dispatch and office teams to improve scheduling, communication, and workflowReview callbacks, customer concerns, and quality issues and implement corrective actionsMonitor department revenue, labor efficiency, material usage, and other key performance indicatorsHelp establish processes and standards that support department growth and profitabilityMaintain strong communication with company leadership regarding department performance, staffing, and operational needsWhat We're Looking ForStrong residential and/or commercial plumbing experiencePrevious leadership, supervisory, or management experience within plumbing or a related service tradeStrong understanding of plumbing diagnostics, repair, installation, and applicable codesAbility to coach employees and hold team members accountable to performance expectationsStrong communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced service environmentComfortable reviewing performance metrics and using data to improve department resultsStrong customer service skills and the ability to resolve escalated concerns professionallyExperience hiring, training, or developing field employees is strongly preferredJourneyman or Master Plumbing License is preferredValid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordBuild the Next Stage of Spectrum AC's Plumbing DepartmentWe're looking for a leader who wants more than simply managing the daily schedule.
