Description
Assist in the development and approval of curriculum for surgical technology courses and curriculum for AAS degree. Assist with write-up for IAC and for state approval. Please note: course caps may be up to 40 students.
Adjunct Faculty will be paid $700 per credit hour for this position. Sr. Adjunct Faculty will be paid $750 per credit hour. Health Sciences Adjunct Faculty will be paid $875 per credit hour.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop course syllabi: description, objectives, weekly schedule
  • Develop list of equipment needed for labs and students
  • Determine texts for the courses
  • Determine potential prerequisites for courses

OVERALL PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITY:
The primary and most important overall responsibility of all employees is to provide service in a pleasant, helpful, and effective manner to our students and other members of the College community.
Minimum Qualifications
Education Required:
Graduation from a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited program to sit for CST
Experience Required:
Experience in the specialty area as well as experience teaching with current license
Skills/Abilities /Knowledge /Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work with technology and learn new skills
  • Ability to write read and comprehend the English language
  • Knowledge of CST curriculum, accreditation guidelines

Additional Information
INSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS:
Collaborates with department members and/or the Compliance, Assessment and Research team to support planning, assessment, data collection and reporting for continuous improvement of the college.
