Position Overview:
The Part-Time Driver is responsible for the safe and professional transport of new motorcoaches and commercial buses between manufacturers, ports, ABC Companies facilities, and customer locations. This role primarily supports the transportation of new Van Hool motorcoaches from the Port of Brunswick, Georgia, to ABC Companies' Winter Garden, Florida facility for pre-delivery inspection (PDI) and processing, as well as SVT pickup and delivery operations and other transportation needs.
Although this position does not transport passengers, it requires the operation of CDL-required commercial vehicles and strict adherence to DOT regulations, company safety standards, and safe vehicle handling practices. This is an on-call, part-time position offering flexible scheduling based on operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely transport motorcoaches and commercial buses between ports, manufacturers, customer locations, and ABC Companies facilities.
  • Support Georgia Van Hool port pickups, SVT pickup and delivery operations, and other transportation assignments as needed.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and company standards.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately, including inspection reports, delivery confirmations, and vehicle condition reports.
  • Communicate proactively with dispatch and operations regarding delivery status, route changes, delays, mechanical concerns, or safety issues.
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
  • Operate company vehicles responsibly while protecting company assets and maintaining a professional appearance.
  • Represent ABC Companies professionally while interacting with customers, manufacturers, ports, vendors, and business partners.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) Endorsement and Air Brake Endorsement required.
  • Class A CDL with Passenger and Air Brake endorsements also acceptable.
  • Clean driving record that meets company insurability standards and successfully passes the company's Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years operating commercial buses, motorcoaches, or other large commercial vehicles preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe commercial vehicle operating practices.
  • Ability to pass a DOT-compliant pre-employment drug screening.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • On-call availability with flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and extended delivery assignments as operational needs require.
