Job description

Job Title: Maintenance Technician – Paint
Location: Chattanooga, TN
Industry: automotive manufacturing
Status of Hire: full-time, direct hire
Pay Rate: $40.11/hr, 3 months bump to $41.53/hr, 1 year bump to $43.01/hr
Shift: 2nd (2:00pm-10:30pm, must be flexible to work OT and Saturdays as needed)
Reports to: Paint Maintenance Supervisor
Main Mission:
Ensures that all painting means (paint line and auxiliaries) are kept in a functional and safe condition by dealing with predictive, preventive and curative maintenance.
Main Responsibilities:

  • Works according to HSE requirements
  • Plans and carries out preventive maintenance of machinery, systems and utility services
  • Efficiently repairs paint line and auxiliaries during downtime
  • Supervises external companies providing contract maintenance and repair
  • Reduction of unscheduled machinery and equipment downtime
  • Participates in continuous improvement processes and activities
  • Retains and Updates maintenance documentation
  • Retains and maintains necessary spare parts inventory for painting
  • Supports level 1 maintenance training
  • Is responsible for tidiness of his/her work area (5S)
  • May relieve fellow team members for their breaks


Requirements:

  • Proven experience (5 years) in maintenance of automotive paint production equipment including previous troubleshooting of ABB robots and paint delivery systems
  • Technician certification with a specialty in several of the following fields (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics)
  • Experience in ABB robotics and application processes
  • Computer skills
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Customer-oriented
