This position reports to:

Your role and responsibilities:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to generate a detailed production schedule based on the production plan to maximize the use of resources and meet established production specifications and schedules. Each day, you will feed information on production capacity issues and material availability. You will also showcase your expertise by releasing manufacturing work orders.

ABB is looking for a Production Scheduler to support the Electrification Installation Products division in Albuquerque, NM. This role ensures seamless order fulfillment and operational efficiency by reviewing and scheduling customer and stock orders, monitoring SAP MRP-generated production plans, and executing finished goods stock strategies. Responsibilities include releasing and managing work orders, securing materials and resources, and analyzing schedule adherence to resolve deviations quickly. By balancing customer demands with manufacturing capacity, this position drives on-time delivery, optimized inventory performance, and consistent communication across operations.
You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Creating and maintaining a detailed production schedule from the production plan.
  • Executing daily, plant-level Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) to create and manage production requirements to meet the production delivery schedules.
  • Establishing sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipment dates per the master schedule/plan.
  • Monitoring schedule adherence, identifying key root causes for deviation, and taking follow-up improvement action.

Qualifications for the role:
  • Bachelor's degree in operations management, Engineering, Business or related field and 1+ years of internship or full-time experience in production planning, scheduling, and/or supply chain preferred.
  • Working knowledge of general supply chain and production activities in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, ERP System - SAP Preferred.
  • Detail oriented, Organized, and Excellent communication skills - written and verbal, with cross-functional internal and external parties and teams.
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
