This position reports to:
Global Training Manager
As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your skills by supporting ABB's operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.
The work model for the role is hybrid in Richmond, Virginia.
You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Support the implementation, delivery, and continuous improvement of technical skill development programs and training coordination processes within the assigned area.
  • Assist in scheduling, organizing, and coordinating training sessions, workshops, and onboarding programs for technical teams.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop and update training materials, presentations, and learning content.
  • Track training participation, completion metrics, and effectiveness using internal systems and reporting tools.
  • Maintain training documentation, databases, and learning management system (LMS) records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide logistical support for training events, including room setup, virtual session coordination, and material distribution.

Qualifications for the role:
  • Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Instructional Design, Human Resources, or a related field at an accredited U.S. institution.
  • Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
  • Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Exhibit the capability to manage several tasks at once while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress.
