About the Role:
Dr. Mae Sheikh Ali Endocrine Center in Jacksonville, FL is looking for a skilled and passionate Physician Assistant to join our specialized endocrinology practice. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside expert physicians in diagnosing and managing complex hormonal and metabolic conditions. Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with endocrine disorders including diabetes, thyroid disease, and adrenal conditions
  • Conduct comprehensive patient histories, physical examinations, and order/interpret diagnostic tests
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician
  • Provide patient education on disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications
  • Prescribe and monitor medications, adjusting treatment protocols as needed
  • Maintain accurate and thorough electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
  • Coordinate care with referring providers, specialists, and ancillary healthcare teams
Requirements:
  • Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current NCCPA certification (PA-C) required
  • Active Florida state PA license or ability to obtain prior to start date
  • Experience in endocrinology, internal medicine, or primary care preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and patient-centered bedside manner
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
